Las Vegas Conventions

Las Vegas Is The Place For Conventions

Las Vegas is the convention capital of the world! Over 6 million convention delegates attend more than 23,000 conventions a year. The non-gaming economic impact from conventions is estimated to be over $8 billion dollars anually. Now you can see why Las Vegas loves to be the host city for some of the biggest conventions.

While there are many famous Las Vegas hotels with excellent convention facilities, the most popular location is the Las Vegas Convention Center. To host all these big conventions, you need a big convention center, and the 3.2  million square foot facility fits the bill.

What makes Las Vegas such a popular city for conventions? There are many different reasons and some of the most popular are due to the extravagant Las Vegas Hotels and Casinos, the top notch Las Vegas shows and entertainment, the restaurants, abundant night clubs, and of course the mild Vegas weather.

When you attend a convention in Vegas, be sure to do some research before you go. Las Vegas is such an exciting city to visit, and there are so many things to do and see, we recommend that you take some time to decide where you would like to go while you are in Las Vegas. We have provided you a list of links to websites that provide additional information.

During the day, the Las Vegas strip can be a busy place, but at night, the Strip wakes up and takes on a life of its own! The flashing neon lights on the signs of the big Las Vegas hotels, the fantastic light and music show of the Bellagio fountain and the Pirate show at Treasure Island are very popular destinations that you don't want to miss. Strolling down the Las Vegas Strip on a warm evening with all the lights and crowds are something you will never forget.

Gambling is definitely one of the big draws for Las Vegas. Every Las Vegas hotel has elaborate casinos that are designed to attract and cater to the needs of their guests. Essentially, the goal of the Vegas casinos and hotels are to keep as many people gambling for as long as possible.

The layouts and games at most of the casinos are very similar. It is the different themes that tend to make the Las Vegas hotels and casinos unique. The Las Vegas Strip Hotel Map shows the locations for the major hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and the themes and major shows associated with the hotel.

Where else in the world can you sleep in a pyramid (the Luxor), walk next door to see dolphins in an aquarium, visit the streets of New York City, cross the road and see lions and tigers, and then walk through the exotic gardens and shops of the Bellagio, and have dinner at a french restaurant in Paris? That is just a small sample of all that Las Vegas has to offer.

The reason that Las Vegas caters to the conventions, is that they know you will return to visit on your own once you have experienced the "City that never sleeps".

Enjoy your stay in Las Vegas and visit our links for things to do while you are in Las Vegas!
